What fundamental human being problem has the internet been solving and how does security fit here?

I just recently realised the difference between inanimate and animate. It is not the ability to move (mushrooms can't move), to procreate (viruses cannot procreate independently) or to think (plants have no nerves). According to David Deutsch - only animate beings can absorb information. Why is that the only difference? Because evolution through adaptation is only possible through learning and, as we know, adaptation or intention to live in the most fundamental thing ever. If a living cell at the earliest stages could not remember a successful mutation - we are gone. Human beings have become more successful than other species because they have learned to share information not only through a DNA mutation but also by sending messages to each other. Sounds, words, rock painting, writing and finally the internet. Internet dramatically accelerated human beings ability to share information and provided everyone with equal access to this mechanism. Now you can ask yourself what this all means to security? The internet has changed the way we communicate by physically separating those who talk. Now you cannot verify someone by looking in his face or hearing his voice. Now your message travels thousand of kilometres and visible to everyone. And here security questions show up in full growth. We will speak about all those things brought into our day-to-day life by big brains in later posts.
