In the last post, we realised that there is no 100% protection. Then how to understand that you are protecting something enough? Well, ultimately that is only belief:)
To sleep good and convince yourself that you are safe, it is worth thinking about who you are attractive for. There are 3 types of groups that can attack you. Think about it as anchor points on a continuum of all possible abusers.
Script kiddies: googled some ready-to-use malware and blindly used to see what would happen
Organised crime and industrial espionage: a structured approach to carrying out atrocities
Government-backed hacking groups: a structured approach to carrying out atrocities with unlimited resources
Obviously, the lower you are on the list, the more sophisticated security measures you should apply.
Script kiddies are responsible for the majority of all hacker attempts happening, and together with organised crime, it goes up to 99%.
Basic security hygiene will protect you well enough from the vast majority of cybercrime.
